Fifty years ago today, the
Korean peninsula was formally divided into North and South. How's that been working out for them? Below is a satellite image of the peninsula at night... I'm sure the North Korean astronomers, when they can drag themselves from their starvation stupor to look into their telescopes, get a terrific view of the stars without all that
light pollution...
