Swindon's Magic Roundabout
In what looks to me like a driver's nightmare: Swindon's Magic Roundabout.
Constructed in 1972, the roundabout consists of five mini-roundabouts arranged in a circle. Its name comes from a popular children's television series The Magic Roundabout. Depending on your BBC survey, it has been voted the fourth or seventh scariest junction in Britain.

A few weeks ago, Ms. Cartophiliac's friend sent a hilarious YouTube video of the roundabout in action, with a Benny Hill soundtrack. Sadly, it has already been taken down. But below are several more videos to give you a flavor of the experience.

The Roundabout Man's YouTube Channel has my favorite Magic Roundabout video because he explains how it works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dICyE9xtJZA However, his video is about the one in Hemel Hempstead instead of Swindon.

Hah! Thanks for posting the Yes videos--my dad grew up on that album (it came out when he was twelve) and played it a lot when I was very young. I'm thirty now, and it never fails to remind me of being in kindergarten or younger...
As an aside: never sing it karaoke. It goes on for nine minutes, most of which are musical breaks, while you stand there and look kinda dumb. I started telling stories or doing goofy dances.
