New World Porter
The last time I bought beer because it had a map on the label, I was less than impressed with the results. However, Mrs. Cartophiliac recently visited Jungle Jim's International Market near Cincinnati, or as she calls it, The Food Museum.
She brought back a special treat for me: a six-pack of New World Porter from Avery Brewing. I found this cartographic beer to be more to my taste.
Labels: beer, north america, south america

I have to tell you, this blog is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. You're a map junkie, you play (or are at least familiar with) El Grande, and you worship at the alter of Jungle Jim. It's like we're twin brothers of different mothers! Keep up the good work!
I bow to your superior taste in boardgames, food museums and map blogs. You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.
Are you familiar with Strange Maps? http://strangemaps.wordpress.com/ Another favorite. I'm also a Highpointer (obsessed with standing on the highest point of all 50 states, I've bagged 17 so far) and a border hunter (I spent three days travelling to the far north of Norway this past June to visit the Finland/Norway/Russia tripoint, well and truly in the middle of nowhere!) There are blogs for both of them worth checking out...
Strange Maps: Yes, it is a great site, listed under Map Related Blogs and Websites (to the right) along with several other great sites. Send me a link to your other blogs. They sound fun.
