2009 United Countries of Football

The NFL 2009 regular season has come to an end. For the third year, I am playing around with the imaginary United Countries of Football.

What if the fans of each team formed their own country, and by the end of the season, Divisional Champions have "conquered" their foes? Why the cartogram? See the original post for more details.

there are that many Cardinal fans in the northwest? There are that many Cardinal fans period? I understand they originally started in Chicago, then moved to St. Louis, then to Arizona, but if you're going to leave off teams like San Francisco, Chicago, Cleveland, and Denver, then certainly Phoenix needs to go away.

You've got to read the original United Countries of Football to understand the premise.

"What if the fans of each team formed their own country, and by the end of the season, Divisional Champions have "conquered" their foes?"

No, I do not imagine that there are Cardinal fans in the Northwest... but the Cardinal "nation" has "conquered" the other team's nations in their division.

My bad. I should have looked at the link before leaving my comment. I'm sorry about that. Now that I'm on the right page, it's interesting to see how you sliced up the nation for each playoff team. Very cool.
