Constitution-Free Zone
According the the American Civil Liberties Union, nearly 2/3 of the entire US population (197.4 million people) live within a "Constitution-Free Zone". The United States government has extended the "the border" to a 100-mile wide strip that wraps around the "external boundary" of the United States. "As a result of this claimed authority, individuals who are far away from the border, American citizens traveling from one place in America to another, are being stopped and harassed in ways that our Constitution does not permit."
Are you living within a constitution-free zone?

That's fine, except Lake Michigan is not a border and most areas surrounding Lake Michigan are more than 100 miles from the Canadian border.
That seems obvious to you and me, but since there is no border check point in the Straits of Mackinaw, Chicago can be an international port for those dangerous Canadians. You're assuming that logic is going to stop an already unconstitutional activity.
Oh yeah, those dangerous Canadians boat it down Lake Michigan to Chicago. Then they hoop it up at Navy Pier. No wonder why Navy Pier is so crazy! It's fully of invading Canadians!
Actually, is two-thirds of America really on the borders? If so, that's really interesting.
I think that makes sense... Where are the largest population centers? East Coast, West Coast and North Coast.
Here are the ACLU figures from the 2007 Census
My friend who lives outside of Allentown read this post yesterday and emailed me to taunt that I was in a Constitution-free zone.
"Well, so are you," I smartly retorted.
That sure shut her up.
