New York City in Legos

Christoph Niemann’s illustrations have appeared on the covers of The New Yorker, Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times Magazine and American Illustration. His newest book, I LEGO N.Y., shows us another view of New York, with Legos, including maps:

His project started during the cold and dark Berlin winter days...

it's "in Lego" not Legos. They are called Lego bricks or just bricks but never Legos.
1 Lego brick
2 Lego bricks

Really?

What about Lego bricks, wheels, axles, gears, motors, windshields, people, whatever you call the little stick antenna pieces, etc? I can't call a pile of all of those "Legos"? I have to specifically list them all or force them all into the definition of "Lego bricks"?

If so, Lego may want to brand their toys as something a bit more exciting (and inclusive) than bricks.
