Handy Maps

A Long Way to Shiloh is a crime thriller novel written by Lionel Davidson (1966). Among its many editions, this Penguin paperback gets my attention.

Stamps, postcards, advertising, coffee mugs, shirts, and other ephemera. I love maps, and maps as an element of design.

The problem with Mercator hands is that they make the fingers look really big at the expense of the knuckles.

I see no provision for the traditional "Michigan Hand-Map", so beloved by those loathsome Northerners :-)
